No IPL Matches at Uppal Stadium Without Local Talent, Warns Danam Nagender

Danam Nagender, a Congress leader and MLA, warned that if the Sunrisers Hyderabad team does not include at least one Telugu player in the next season, they will not allow even a single match to take place at the Uppal Stadium. He stated they are prepared to sit outside the stadium all day if necessary. He mentioned that he had previously filed a written complaint alleging that David Warner, the former captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, was involved in fixing, leading to Warner's removal as captain. He announced plans to file another complaint against the Sunrisers.
Speaking today at the Uppal Stadium, where a match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings is scheduled, Nagender expressed his anger over IPL match tickets being sold out online within just fifteen minutes, blaming the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) for the unavailability of tickets in Hyderabad. He accused the HCA of selling complimentary passes in the black market. Reminding of his role as the head of the DNR Academy and as a president of the Boxing Association, he promised to complain to the Chief Minister about the actions of the HCA, criticizing the absence of a Telugu player in the Sunrisers team as disgraceful.
On the other hand, the electricity supply was restored at the Uppal Stadium. The match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings is set to proceed as planned on Friday. The Electricity Department granted the HCA one day, Friday, to clear the outstanding electricity dues.
