AP PCC President YS Sharmila has begun the Congress campaign in the state, primarily targeting the Jagan government. Vasireddy Padma, the Chairperson of the State Women's Commission, has responded strongly to this.
Vasireddy Padma clarified that Sharmila's campaign is completely against the electoral code of conduct, and they will bring this matter to the Election Commission's attention. Padma accused Sharmila of targeting CM Jagan with a personal agenda.
Padma advised that Sharmila should be aware that one should not speak on matters under the jurisdiction of the court, mockingly stating that Sharmila seems to be making judgments and imposing sentences on serious issues. She mentioned that the efforts to separate the YS family are not new and that the people of Kadapa are well aware of everything. Padma made it clear that everyone understands that Sharmila is engaging in sympathy politics.
Padma commented that everyone knows how often Sharmila has changed her stance on various issues, and even a sandpiper would feel ashamed by Sharmila's behavior. She remarked that in changing colors, Sharmila has outdone Chandrababu Naidu.
Padma challenged Sharmila by asking what the Congress party did about the promises made during the state division and questioned if Sharmila had never spoken about the injustice done to AP by the Congress party. Padma criticized Sharmila for speaking without thinking and alleged that she has become a pawn in Chandrababu Naidu's politics.
