Hyderabad: BJP Rajya Sabha member Laxman has leveled severe allegations against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy concerning the Kaleshwaram project. He accused Revanth Reddy of compromising on the project’s integrity, leading to the stalling of its file. Laxman criticized that while RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat has made clear his stance on reservations, it is questionable where Revanth Reddy stands now, suggesting a deviation from traditional positions.
Laxman alleged that Revanth Reddy is promoting falsehoods to benefit in elections and accused him of tarnishing Telangana's reputation by spreading fake videos. He remarked that though Revanth Reddy might be a new face in the Congress, the party has historically disrespected the constitution, pointing out that no one has insulted the constitution as much as Indira Gandhi did.
Laxman criticized the Congress for undermining Ambedkar’s disapproval of religious-based reservations. He further noted that despite assigning 50 divisions to BCs (Backward Classes) in Greater Hyderabad, 31 were won by Muslims, indicating an injustice to the BC community. Laxman stated that Revanth Reddy’s collusion with KCR (the previous Chief Minister) has also hindered progress on the 'Note for Vote' case and the advancement of the Kaleshwaram project file. He criticized the Congress for not allocating a single ticket to the Madiga community, underscoring a lack of social justice within the party.
