Interim Stay on Amit Shah Morphing Case Issued by Telangana High Court
The High Court on Friday issued interim orders in the video morphing case involving Union Home Minister Amit Shah, staying further proceedings in the case. The Telangana High Court directed that no advance action be taken without its orders, following a petition filed by Congress leaders.
The defendant's lawyer, Satish, filed a lunch motion petition today. The High Court, after examining this petition, reiterated its directive not to take any preliminary action and postponed the next hearing by four weeks. The court also instructed against taking any stringent measures.
The police presented the suspects involved in Amit Shah's video morphing case in front of the Nampally court, where they were granted conditional bail. The bail was set with a surety of Rs. 10,000. The Nampally court ordered that the suspects appear for hearings every Friday and Monday. However, the High Court has now issued an order to stay further hearings.
