Amaravati: Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of wreaking havoc in the state during their five-year rule. In an interview with a TV channel, Chandrababu criticized the governance under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, stating that significant projects like the capital city Amaravati, the Polavaram project, and various industries were completely destroyed under his administration.
Chandrababu expressed severe concern over the youth of Andhra Pradesh being rendered ineffective and intimidated under the current government. He asserted that once the NDA coalition, led by Narendra Modi, comes to power in the state again, they will restore the state to its previous condition. He was confident about Modi becoming the Prime Minister for a third term, emphasizing the critical role of the Central government in the reconstruction of Andhra Pradesh.
He also highlighted the fear prevalent among the people of Andhra Pradesh due to Jagan's governance, stating that it is difficult for political leaders and social activists to function under such administration. Chandrababu accused Jagan's administration of questioning the survival of the Telugu community itself.
According to Chandrababu , employees in Andhra Pradesh are also unable to work efficiently. He noted that the recent postal voting showed a clear opposition to the current government. He discussed the case of MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who faced severe harassment from the Jagan government, an act he claims has never been seen in the history of India's democracy.
During his tenure, Jagan not only accumulated debts amounting to thirteen lakh crore rupees but also mismanaged state facilities like secretariats, collectorates, hospitals, and farmers' markets, according to Chandrababu . He promised that if he were to come to power, he would generate wealth and increase the state's revenue, ensuring that the government's earnings are spent solely for the welfare of the people.
