Chandrababu: Bringing Governance from Secretariat to the People

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu stated that his goal is to elevate the Telugu community to the highest position globally. After visiting Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala, he addressed the media, expressing his aspiration for 30% of the world's top positions to be held by Telugu people if India is to be number one. He emphasized that development would accelerate when zero poverty is achieved at all levels—national, state, and district. He highlighted that reducing economic inequalities is possible only through government policies.

Chandrababu reminisced about the changes he implemented during his tenure as the Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh. He recalled decentralizing administration from the Secretariat to the public. He claimed that working closely with the people fostered development. He credited his government’s efforts for Hyderabad’s progress, stating that decisions made during his administration put the city on a path of development, attracting global company leaders without invitation—they came because of the visible progress. This, he said, demonstrates that good work gets recognized worldwide.

Chandrababu stressed the importance of not only creating wealth but also ensuring it reaches the poor. He insisted on reducing economic disparities, arguing against a scenario where one person has billions while another earns merely a hundred rupees a day. He called for a society with better living standards for all, achievable through proper government policies. He praised India’s family system as a model for the world and expressed a desire to advance this legacy with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.

He highlighted the need to spread the fame of Lord Venkateswara globally, noting the widespread presence of Telugu people. Chandrababu stated that every Hindu dreams of visiting Lord Venkateswara, feeling compelled to return repeatedly. He accused previous rulers of desecrating the sacred Tirumala, stating that visiting Tirumala should feel like entering Vaikuntha (the abode of Lord Vishnu). He insisted that only the chants of Lord Narayana should be heard in this holy place.

Chandrababu criticized the previous five years for tarnishing Tirumala’s sanctity, accusing the administration of mismanagement. He alleged that the conduct of weddings and other ceremonies, and the bringing of non-vegetarian food to the hills, desecrated the sacred site. He announced that public governance in Andhra Pradesh starts today, with a purification beginning from Tirumala. Chandrababu concluded by stating that people will soon witness what TDP 4.0 governance will be like.
