Andhra Pradesh Bankrupt Under YSRCP Rule, Chandrababu Tells Modi
Andhra Pradesh has gone bankrupt under YSRCP rule, with the state treasury empty, said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He stated that he explained the state's financial situation to Prime Minister Modi during his visit to Delhi. He accused hardened financial criminals of looting Visakhapatnam. He mentioned that, as promised in the elections, sand is being distributed for free and the Land Titling Act has been repealed. During his tour of the northern Andhra districts, he inspected the left canal of the Polavaram project at Darla Pudi in Anakapalli district. While addressing the local people, he made these comments.
Chandrababu said that 72% of the Polavaram project was completed during the TDP regime and criticized the previous government for merging the project with the Godavari River. He stated that the Sujala Sravanthi project would provide irrigation to 100,000 acres, costing ₹800 crores. He promised to complete the project as soon as possible. He mentioned that 2,500 cusecs of water could be brought through the Purushothapatnam Lift Scheme.
Chandrababu emphasized that linking the Godavari, Krishna, Vamsadhara, and Penna rivers would eliminate drought in the state. He said that it is the NDA government's responsibility to ensure justice for farmers. He urged for the continuous refutation of false claims made by opposition leaders.
