Public Anger at Government Peaks Within Six Months: Jagan

YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched sharp criticism against the alliance government, stating that public dissatisfaction has reached unprecedented levels within just six months of its formation. He remarked that he has never witnessed such widespread discontent in such a short period. Speaking at a meeting in Tadepalli with party general secretaries, secretaries, and district presidents, Jagan highlighted the growing discontent among the people and the increasing pressure on alliance leaders, who are being questioned wherever they go.

Jagan alleged that key government institutions in the state have been rendered ineffective. He pointed out that the fee reimbursement program is pending, with an estimated ₹2,800 crore arrears expected by January. He further stated that ₹1,100 crore for the Vasathi Deevena scheme is also pending, and bills under the Aarogyasri healthcare scheme have been overdue for nine months. Additionally, salaries for employees working under the 104 and 108 ambulance services have not been paid for four months.

The YSRCP chief criticized the government for initiating actions to increase electricity charges. He alleged that despite the hardships faced by farmers due to heavy rains, the government has failed to extend any support. He also accused the government of filing false cases against those who question its actions.

Jagan claimed that sand is being sold at double the rate compared to what it was during the YSRCP’s tenure. He further alleged that liquor shops are now under the control of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his associates, with individual belt shops being auctioned for ₹2 to ₹3 lakh each.

Addressing his party members, Jagan emphasized the need to raise their voices on behalf of the people and urged district presidents to take an active role in addressing public grievances.
