Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy unveiled the statue of Telangana Thalli this evening at the Secretariat premises in Hyderabad. The 20-foot bronze statue, symbolizing the spirit and cultural heritage of Telangana, was inaugurated amidst Vedic chants. Ministers, MLAs, and officials were present at the unveiling ceremony. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also honored Telangana lyricist Andesri for his contributions.

The Telangana Thalli statue, adorned with traditional elements such as gunupusa, haaram, nose ring, green saree, bangles, and anklets, reflects the region’s historical and cultural identity. The statue embodies the fighting spirit of icons like Chakali Ailamma and Sammakka-Saralamma. The Telangana Thalli statue incorporates traditional symbols, with ears of rice, jowar, bajra, and corn placed in her hands to represent the state's agricultural heritage.

The unveiling attracted a massive crowd, turning the Secretariat and Tank Bund areas into a sea of people.
