The Andhra Pradesh government has issued orders reclaiming 17.69 acres of assigned land belonging to Saraswati Power in Machavaram Mandal, dealing a major blow to former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The land dispute involving Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, his sister Y.S. Sharmila, and mother Y.S. Vijayamma recently reached the courts. In response, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan directed officials to investigate the ownership and status of assigned lands linked to Saraswati Power in Machavaram.

Acting on these directives, officials conducted a detailed examination of land records, including RSR and FMB documents. The investigation team comprised Machavaram MRO Kshamarani, VRO Akhil, RI Koteswara Rao, Surveyor Salman Raju, Deputy Forest Range Officer K. Vijayalakshmi from Dachepalli, and beat officers Venkateswarlu and Manoj.

Following their comprehensive review, the officials submitted a report recommending the reclamation of the assigned lands. Based on their findings, the government formally issued orders to take back 17.69 acres of land in Machavaram Mandal.
