Priyanka Gandhi Praised by Former Pakistani Minister for Carrying ‘Palestine’ Bag
Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi received praise from former Pakistani minister Fawad Hussain for carrying a bag with "Palestine" written on it. Hussain lauded her as the granddaughter of iconic freedom fighter Jawaharlal Nehru, standing tall among "small-minded people." He also criticized Pakistani parliamentarians for lacking similar courage.
Posting on ‘X,’ Hussain expressed admiration for Priyanka Gandhi, stating that nothing less could be expected from Nehru’s granddaughter. Recently, Priyanka Gandhi, who secured a significant victory from Wayanad in a by-election, arrived at Parliament carrying the ‘Palestine’ bag, symbolizing solidarity with the war-torn people of Palestine. The bag featured a watermelon symbol representing the Palestinian identity.
In June this year, Priyanka Gandhi strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over alleged atrocities in Gaza. She accused the Israeli government of barbaric acts causing mass killings. Gandhi highlighted the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza, emphasizing the loss of countless civilians, including mothers, fathers, doctors, nurses, aid workers, journalists, teachers, writers, senior citizens, and innocent children.
She urged every nation to condemn Israel’s actions, calling for international intervention to stop the ongoing violence.
