Andhra Pradesh FiberNet Corporation Chairman GV Reddy has alleged that film director Ram Gopal Varma received an illegal payment of ₹2.10 crore from the organization. Speaking at a press conference in Amaravati, Reddy claimed that former officials of the corporation sanctioned the amount under dubious circumstances.

He explained that Varma's film Vyuham was telecast on AP FiberNet, earning 18 lakh views. As per the standard rate, only ₹2 lakh should have been paid, but ₹2.10 crore was disbursed instead, he alleged.

GV Reddy further disclosed that a vigilance inquiry into corruption within the FiberNet Corporation is currently underway. He criticized the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government, accusing it of harassing cable operators and engaging in financial misconduct.

According to GV Reddy, the then Managing Director of AP FiberNet, Madhusudhan Reddy, is under investigation, and strict action will be taken based on the findings. He also alleged that key documents were tampered with to cover up irregularities.

GV Reddy claimed that a female employee had illegally handed over crucial records to YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy. He stated that the employee has since been terminated from her position.
