Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre at RTC Crossroads recently witnessed a tragic stampede on December 4, during the premiere show of "Pushpa 2: The Rule." The incident resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi, while her nine-year-old son sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

In the wake of this unfortunate event, the theatre management has announced significant measures to enhance safety and security. Comprehensive renovations are underway both inside and outside the theatre premises. As part of these efforts, outdated CCTV cameras are being replaced with advanced models to ensure better surveillance.

Further improvements include installing new boards, grills, and metal detectors at the entrances of both Sandhya 70mm and Sandhya 35mm theatres. Additionally, measures are being implemented to upgrade fire safety systems. These steps aim to prevent similar incidents in the future and provide a safer environment for patrons.
