Indian Women Dominate West Indies in Final ODI, Sweep Series 3-0
The Indian women's cricket team achieved a dominant clean sweep in the three-match ODI series against the West Indies. In the third and final ODI held today, the West Indies women’s team, batting first, was bowled out for just 162 runs. Chasing a target of 163, India overcame a minor stumble and secured victory in 28.2 overs, losing five wickets.
All-rounder Deepti Sharma displayed a stellar performance, scoring an unbeaten 39 runs off 48 balls, including three fours and a six. She also excelled with the ball, claiming six wickets for just 31 runs. Renuka Thakur complemented her efforts with the ball, taking four wickets for 29 runs.
For India, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur contributed 32 runs, while Jemimah Rodrigues added 29 runs. Towards the end, Richa Ghosh provided a quickfire knock, scoring 23 runs off 11 balls. However, top performers from the previous matches, Smriti Mandhana and Harleen Deol, were dismissed for single-digit scores in this game.
It is worth noting that the Indian team also clinched the preceding T20 series against the West Indies.
