The renowned Srisailam Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Andhra Pradesh is gearing up for the Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavam, scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 1. Temple authorities are making extensive arrangements for the event, with Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao inspecting various facilities, including parking zones, on Saturday. He was accompanied by engineering officials.

As part of the preparations, the EO examined areas such as cultural performance venues and the elephant pond bund. He instructed engineering teams to establish temporary sheds with green mats along the main road stretching from Gangadhara Mandapam to Nandi Temple to provide resting areas for devotees.

Special queue lines, storage rooms for devotees’ belongings, and footwear safekeeping facilities are also being planned, with an emphasis on creating spacious arrangements. The EO suggested constructing permanent sheds on the right side of the queue lines and directed officials to expedite jungle clearance, leveling, and graveling in parking areas.

To ensure cleanliness, the sanitation department was tasked with maintaining the surroundings of all parking zones. Additional dustbins, potable water facilities, and temporary electrification were recommended. Temporary toilets and first-aid centers will be set up at parking lots and crowded areas to avoid inconvenience for visitors.

Information centers with pamphlets and directions will be established to guide devotees. Signboards will mark routes to parking areas, ensuring a seamless experience. A special parking zone for dignitaries and officials has been designated behind the Kala Pranganam near Mada Veedhi.

Officials involved in the arrangements included Executive Engineers P.M. Murali Balakrishna and M. Narasimha Reddy, Sanitation Department Assistant Executive Officer Mallikarjuna Reddy, and Civil and Electrical Department in-charge DEE P. Chandrasekhara Sastry, among others.
