Promotions Announced for Senior IAS and IPS Officers in Andhra Pradesh

Ahead of the New Year, the Andhra Pradesh government has brought good news to several senior IAS and IPS officers by issuing promotion orders today.

Senior IAS officers Dr. Solomon Arokiaraj and Suresh Kumar have been promoted to the rank of Principal Secretary. Suresh Kumar will now serve as the Principal Secretary for the Department of Investments and Infrastructure. Dr. Solomon Arokiaraj, who is currently on deputation with the Central Government, will also hold the Principal Secretary rank following his promotion. Both officers belong to the 2000 batch of the IAS.

Additionally, Veerapandian, Ch. Sridhar, and Kartikeya Misra have been elevated to the rank of Secretary. Kartikeya Misra, who is presently serving as Additional Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), will continue in the CMO in his new role as Secretary. Ch. Sridhar, currently the Collector of Kadapa district, will retain his position. Similarly, Veerapandian, serving as CEO of the Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty, will also continue in his current role.

On the IPS front, officers Siddharth Kaushal and Vikrant Patil have also received promotions. However, clarity regarding their exact new roles is awaited. Vikrant Patil is presently serving as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Kakinada district, while Siddharth Kaushal continues in his position as Inspector General (IG) for Law and Order.
