On the first day of the New Year, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National President Nara Chandrababu Naidu spent the day engaging closely with the public rather than attending traditional celebrations.

To mark the occasion, Chandrababu began the day by signing a Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) file to release ₹24 crore for 600 underprivileged individuals. At 10:45 a.m., he sought blessings from priests of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

From 11:00 a.m., the Chief Minister welcomed ministers, MLAs, IAS and IPS officers, and officials from various departments at his residence. Later, at 12:20 p.m., he visited the Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada to seek blessings from the goddess. He conveyed New Year greetings to the public via the media during this visit.

At 1:30 p.m., Chandrababu met Governor S. Abdul Nazeer to extend New Year wishes. Following this, at 2:30 p.m., he interacted informally with media representatives on various topics.

By 3:15 p.m., Chandrababu visited the TDP headquarters, where he met around 1,500 party workers, posed for photographs, and personally received their greetings.

Later in the evening, at 6:00 p.m., the Chief Minister proceeded to the Secretariat, where he held a meeting with officials from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). He convened a one-hour session with key department secretaries in the first block of the Secretariat, sharing his thoughts and collecting their suggestions.

At 7:15 p.m., Chandrababu discussed the agenda for the next day’s Cabinet meeting with CMO officials and met with a few other leaders before returning to his residence in Undavalli.

The Cabinet meeting, scheduled for January 2, will focus on granting approvals to companies proposing investments in Andhra Pradesh.
