YS Jagan Seeks CBI Court Permission for UK Visit
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has filed a petition in the CBI Special Court seeking permission for an overseas visit. Jagan has requested approval for a trip to the United Kingdom from January 11 to 15, stating that he wishes to travel along with his family.
In his petition, Jagan mentioned that his daughters are currently pursuing their education in the UK, and he plans to visit them during the proposed period. The CBI court has accepted the petition for hearing and directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file a counter. The court clarified that it would hear arguments after reviewing the CBI’s response.
Since Jagan Mohan Reddy is out on bail in connection with disproportionate assets cases, court approval is mandatory for any foreign travel. Over the past few years, he has made a few foreign trips with prior permission from the court.
