In a tragic incident, an eight-year-old third-grade student named Tejaswini collapsed in her classroom due to a sudden cardiac arrest and passed away while being rushed to the hospital. The incident occurred at Saint Francis School in Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka.

According to reports, Tejaswini was showing her notebook to the teacher when she unexpectedly collapsed. The school authorities immediately shifted her to the nearby JSS Hospital. Upon examination, doctors confirmed that she had passed away before reaching the hospital.

This is not an isolated case. Last month, a similar incident took place in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, where a four-year-old boy collapsed during practice games at school. He was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. Additionally, in September, a nine-year-old girl in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, succumbed to a cardiac arrest while playing on the school playground.

Medical experts have expressed concern over the rising number of sudden cardiac deaths among children post-COVID-19. According to Wockhardt Hospital representatives, cardiac arrest cases have increased by 15-20% over the last two months. They noted that cardiac issues, previously considered uncommon in children, are now appearing more frequently across various age groups.
