I Have Done Nothing Wrong... Ready for Any Inquiry: KTR
BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) asserted that he has done nothing wrong regarding the Formula E-car race and expressed his readiness to face any investigation. Speaking from his residence in Nandinagar, Hyderabad, KTR stated that he has complete faith in the Indian judiciary and emphasized that this was just the beginning of his legal battle. He described the case filed against him as a politically motivated act of vengeance but assured that he had willingly appeared before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for questioning despite knowing its intent.
KTR alleged that the case registered against him was baseless and driven by political interests. He remarked that corrupt individuals tend to perceive any action by others through the lens of corruption. Clarifying the controversy surrounding the Formula E-car race, he declared that no financial irregularities had occurred in the event. He claimed that the race was organized solely to enhance Telangana’s global image. KTR accused Congress leader Revanth Reddy of using his political influence to file a false case against him.
Revealing details about the investigation process, KTR expressed frustration, saying, "When I wanted to attend the inquiry along with my lawyer, they refused." He added that if the High Court permits, he will appear for questioning with his legal team. He further mentioned that they would continue their legal fight in the Supreme Court and seek legal protection against malicious actions. KTR accused ACB officials of violating his rights during the investigation.
He also raised concerns about a statement allegedly given by his party colleague Patnam Narender Reddy during his investigation. KTR feared that without the presence of his legal counsel, a similar scenario could occur in his case. "That is why we requested the inquiry in the presence of our lawyers," he said, expressing confidence that justice would eventually prevail.
When media representatives questioned KTR about Minister Ponguleti’s criticism of him, KTR responded sarcastically, saying, "He’s overenthusiastic since he recently became a minister." He further alleged that many real estate dealings involving Ponguleti, where lands were seized or acquired at heavily reduced rates, would soon be exposed.
KTR concluded by stating that he is determined to fight legally and ensure the truth comes out, reiterating his belief in the justice system.
