Minister Lokesh Applauds Telugu Talent Nitish Kumar Reddy

Young cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy, who displayed exceptional all-round performance during a recent Test series in Australia, paid a courtesy visit to Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh at his residence in Undavalli. Minister Lokesh lauded Nitish for showcasing Telugu talent on an international stage, stating that he serves as an inspiration to aspiring young athletes across the state. The minister honored Nitish with a traditional Mangalagiri handloom shawl and a memento.
During the interaction, Nitish Kumar Reddy praised the state government’s recently announced sports policy, calling it highly beneficial. However, he urged the inclusion of cricket in the policy to further encourage young players. Minister Lokesh responded positively to his suggestion.
Nitish was accompanied by Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) President Kesineni Chinni and Secretary Sana Satish.
Earlier in the day, Nitish met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the CM’s residence in Undavalli. On this occasion, Chief Minister Naidu presented Nitish with a cheque for ₹25 lakh, which had been announced by the ACA as a reward for Nitish’s remarkable century during the Australian tour.
