Social Media Misuse Draws CM Chandrababu’s Ire at Ministers!

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, known for his commitment to administrative discipline, recently expressed dissatisfaction with several ministers and MPs over their lackluster performance. Addressing them directly, he emphasized, "I am not interested in photo opportunities; I need results."
The Chief Minister specifically criticized the poor use of social media by the representatives, highlighting it as a significant shortfall in their responsibilities. He voiced his dissatisfaction at a party meeting, questioning Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu about his absence, asking, “Are other tasks more important than attending party meetings?”
Chandrababu Naidu instructed MLAs, MPs, and district in-charge ministers to work in coordination, urging them to address ground-level issues promptly. He further warned that if an MLA errs, the responsibility lies with the in-charge minister to rectify it.
As part of a performance review, Chandrababu Naidu announced rankings for ministers, MPs, and districts based on their work. Krishna, Chittoor, and NTR districts secured the top three positions, while Kadapa, Alluri Sitarama Raju, and East Godavari districts ranked at the bottom. Minister Farooq was ranked the lowest in terms of social media engagement, drawing sharp criticism from the Chief Minister. Chandrababu Naidu underscored the importance of leveraging social media for promoting government initiatives and programs effectively.
The Chief Minister also stressed the need for better coordination between MPs and state ministers to secure central funds. Reflecting on the previous elections, he noted a 53% favorable vote share and called on everyone to work towards increasing it to 60% in the upcoming elections.
