Nara Lokesh Meets Union Minister Kumaraswamy, Expresses Gratitude for Steel Plant Support

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, met with Union Minister for Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy at his residence in Delhi. During the visit, Lokesh also met Kumaraswamy’s father, former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, and sought his blessings while inquiring about his health.
Expressing gratitude to Kumaraswamy, Lokesh acknowledged the Union Minister’s role in sanctioning approximately ₹12,000 crore for the revival of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Lokesh praised Kumaraswamy for understanding the sentiments of Andhra Pradesh’s people and the concerns of thousands of steel plant workers. He commended the minister’s support and cooperation in addressing these issues. Lokesh also appreciated Kumaraswamy’s initiative in visiting the steel plant, assessing its condition, implementing measures to boost productivity, and directly engaging with the workers to understand their challenges.
Lokesh further mentioned that the upcoming ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel plant near Anakapalli, established in the private sector, is expected to create significant employment opportunities for Andhra Pradesh’s youth. He urged the central government to expedite the necessary approvals for the project to proceed smoothly.
