Ministerial Rankings Aim to Boost Governance Efficiency, Not Comparison: CM Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu clarified that the rankings released for ministers’ performance were not intended to elevate or diminish anyone but to encourage healthy competition and improve governance efficiency.
Speaking on the matter, Chandrababu Naidu stated, “The people of Andhra Pradesh have placed immense trust in us, delivering a historic mandate with a 93% strike rate in the 2024 elections. From the very first day in office, we have been working tirelessly to fulfill their aspirations. We are striving to rebuild a system that was devastated by the previous administration. While implementing welfare schemes like pension increases, free gas distribution, and Anna canteens, we are also focusing on infrastructure development and attracting investments.”
Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the need for a proactive approach to overcome challenges, adding, “With good governance, we will implement the ‘Super Six’ schemes and fulfill every promise we made. To achieve our goals swiftly, everyone in the government must work hard. I firmly believe that only teamwork can yield the best results. Extraordinary and accelerated performance is essential to rebuild a state that has been left in disarray. That is why we are continuously reviewing performance and ensuring a team-oriented work culture. The ministerial rankings were given as part of this initiative to track file clearance efficiency.”
Reiterating the intent behind the rankings, Chandrababu Naidu stated, “These rankings were not meant to elevate anyone above others or diminish anyone’s contributions. By revealing the rankings, we aim to foster self-competition among ministers while also encouraging them to work collectively to enhance governance speed and efficiency. Even I must improve my own ranking in file clearance.”
He further stressed the ‘People First’ governance model, stating, “My cabinet colleagues and I are working towards achieving our goals. From the grassroots level to the Chief Minister’s office, collective effort is crucial in resolving public issues and transforming Andhra Pradesh into a leading state. I expect every individual in the administration to adopt a positive approach and demonstrate top-tier performance in their respective departments.”
