Google Messages to Support Direct WhatsApp Video Calls

Tech giant Google is set to roll out a new feature for its users. Android phone users are already familiar with the Google Messages app. Now, with this latest update, users will be able to initiate WhatsApp video calls directly from Google Messages.
While chatting in the Google Messages app, a video call icon will appear at the top-right corner of the screen. Tapping on this icon will instantly connect the user to a WhatsApp video call. If the recipient does not have WhatsApp installed on their device, the call will be redirected through Google Meet instead.
Google plans to release this feature soon. However, for now, the WhatsApp video call option will only support one-on-one conversations, with group calling not yet available. The company is expected to update the feature in the future to include group calling functionality.
