Cancer Vaccine to Be Available Soon: Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Prataprao Jadhav, announced that a vaccine to combat cancer affecting women is expected to be available within the next five to six months. He stated that only girls aged between 9 and 16 years would be eligible to receive the vaccine.
Speaking to the media today, Prataprao Jadhav said that research on the vaccine is nearing completion and clinical trials are currently underway. He highlighted the increasing number of cancer cases in the country and assured that the central government is taking necessary measures to address the issue.
He further stated that women above the age of 30 will undergo screening in hospitals as part of early detection efforts. Additionally, the government plans to establish daycare cancer centers to enhance diagnostic and treatment facilities.
The minister also announced that customs duty on medicines used for cancer treatment has been waived. He emphasized that the upcoming vaccine is expected to help control breast, oral, and cervical cancers.
