Amit Shah Announces Financial Aid for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, has announced financial assistance for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, along with three other states, under the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF). The central government has approved an additional aid of ₹1,554.99 crore for five states affected by natural disasters such as unexpected floods, landslides, and cyclones in 2024.
A high-level committee, chaired by Amit Shah, sanctioned the funds during a recent meeting. According to the committee’s decision, the allocated amount will be distributed as follows: Andhra Pradesh will receive ₹608.8 crore, Telangana ₹231.75 crore, Tripura ₹288.93 crore, Odisha ₹255.24 crore, and Nagaland ₹170.99 crore.
