Jagan Says Chandrababu Will Be Denied Security if YSRCP Returns to Power
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy visited the Guntur Mirchi Yard despite the district collector—who is also the district election officer—denying permission due to the ongoing MLC elections.

During his visit, Jagan interacted with chili farmers and expressed his dissatisfaction over the lack of protocol provided to him as the Leader of the Opposition. He criticized the authorities, alleging that even basic police security was not extended to him under the pretext of the election code.

Highlighting his government's past initiatives, Jagan claimed that during his tenure as Chief Minister, the YSRCP administration had ensured a high minimum support price for chili farmers. He accused the current administration of attempting to obstruct his visit when he came to discuss farmers’ issues.

Jagan further declared that the YSRCP would return to power and, if that happened, he would ensure that N. Chandrababu Naidu would also be denied security. He criticized Chandrababu Naidu, stating that he was indifferent to the hardships of farmers.

The Election Commission (EC) had explicitly denied permission for Jagan’s visit, citing the enforcement of the election code. However, despite these orders, he proceeded with his Guntur tour. It remains to be seen whether the EC will take any action regarding this violation.
