Shahid Afridi Refers to Indian and Pakistani Players as 'KFC Generation'

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi made a striking remark about modern-day Indian and Pakistani cricketers, calling them the "KFC Generation." His comments came during a discussion on a sports channel, where he expressed disappointment over the lack of intensity in contemporary India-Pakistan matches compared to the past.
Afridi suggested that today's players lack the aggression and passion that once defined the rivalry. "The kind of fierce competition we used to see in India-Pakistan matches is missing now. These players belong to the McDonald's and KFC generation," Afridi stated. His remarks have since gone viral on social media, sparking widespread debate among cricket fans.
India and Pakistan are set to face each other in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy, a tournament where their clashes are always a major attraction. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently addressed the national team, urging them to win the ICC Champions Trophy.
The India-Pakistan cricket rivalry has remained one of the most intense in the sport, dating back to the 1990s. The last time Pakistan defeated India in an ICC event was during the 2021 T20 World Cup in Dubai. However, in subsequent major tournaments, India has emerged victorious against Pakistan.
