Nara Lokesh Pushes for Streamlined Teacher Apps, Improved School Management

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, has directed officials to establish a system where former students, alumni associations, and individuals dedicated to the development of government schools can serve as school mentors. He issued these instructions while conducting a review on school education and the Samagra Shiksha initiative at his residence in Undavalli.
Nara Lokesh emphasized the need for a streamlined system to provide comprehensive information on government schools and colleges to donors who wish to contribute to their development. He instructed officials to ensure that donations reach the respective institutions directly. Additionally, he called for measures to ensure the distribution of the Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyarthi Mitra Kits before the commencement of the upcoming academic year.
The meeting also involved detailed discussions on the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes, fund utilization, and budget planning for the next financial year. The minister directed officials to equip all government schools with basic infrastructure, establish computer labs, STEM labs, and enhance school libraries.
To improve efficiency in the school education department, Nara Lokesh proposed the introduction of a single dashboard for monitoring all activities. He also instructed officials to replace the 45 existing mobile applications used by teachers with a single app, enabling them to focus more on teaching, attendance management, and student learning outcomes.
The minister suggested appointing estate managers in large schools and utilizing Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs) at the cluster level. He emphasized the need to integrate all aspects of school education into a unified dashboard, implementing a login system from the ministerial level down to field officials, thereby eliminating repetitive data collection and optimizing teachers' time for student development.
Following the revocation of Government Order (GO) 117, Nara Lokesh directed officials to maximize the establishment of model primary schools, ensuring that each class has a dedicated teacher. He also stressed the need to gradually reduce the number of single-teacher schools.
The review meeting was attended by School Education Secretary Kona Sasidhar, Director V. Vijay Rama Raju, Intermediate Education Director Smt. Kritika Shukla, Samagra Shiksha SPD B. Srinivasa Rao, and other key officials.
