Roster Errors: AP Govt Asks APPSC to Postpone Group-2 Mains Exam

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) had previously announced that the Group-2 Mains examination would be conducted on February 23. However, the state government has now written to APPSC, requesting a postponement of the exam by a few days.

This decision follows concerns raised by candidates regarding alleged errors in the roster system outlined in the notification issued two years ago. In response to these concerns, the government has urged APPSC to conduct the Group-2 Mains examination at a later date.

The government emphasized that candidates have objected to holding the exam without first rectifying the roster discrepancies. It stated that this matter requires further examination before proceeding with the examination.

Additionally, the government pointed out that a petition related to the roster issue is scheduled for a court hearing on March 11. Since there is still time to file an affidavit in court, the government suggested that APPSC defer the examination until then.
