Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Travels in a Broken Seat on Air India Flight
Union Minister of Agriculture Shivraj Singh Chouhan had an unpleasant experience while traveling on an Air India flight. He was forced to sit in a broken seat for nearly one and a half hours during his journey.

A few days ago, Shivraj Singh Chouhan was traveling from Bhopal to Delhi on an Air India flight when he discovered that the seat he had booked was damaged. He immediately informed the flight crew about the issue. In response, the airline staff acknowledged the problem and mentioned that multiple seats on the flight were also in a similar condition. They further stated that the management was aware of the situation and had issued instructions to ensure that broken seats were not assigned to passengers.

Observing Chouhan's discomfort, some fellow passengers offered him their seats. However, he declined their offer, stating that he did not want to inconvenience anyone. As a result, he remained seated in the broken seat throughout the flight to Delhi.

Commenting on the incident, Chouhan expressed disappointment with Air India's service. He remarked that he had expected the airline’s conditions to improve after being taken over by the Tata Group, but he now realized that this was a misconception. "When a full fare is charged for a ticket, isn't it fraudulent to assign broken seats?" he questioned in a tweet, voicing his frustration.

Following his tweet, Air India responded by issuing an apology to Chouhan. The airline assured that it would take steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
