APPSC Confirms Group-2 Mains Exam Will Proceed as Scheduled on February 23
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has responded to the state government's request to postpone the Group-2 Mains examination scheduled for February 23, stating that the exam cannot be deferred. The commission emphasized that, as the Model Code of Conduct for the Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections is in force, no decisions benefiting graduates can be taken at this stage. Therefore, the examination will proceed as per the original schedule.

The state government had written to APPSC, urging it to postpone the exam, citing ongoing protests from candidates. The protests stem from concerns over alleged errors in the roster point system, which candidates have been demanding to rectify before conducting the Mains examination. These protests have been ongoing for the past several days.

Despite these concerns, APPSC maintained that it is not feasible to delay the exam at this stage. The commission has reiterated that the Group-2 Mains examination will be conducted as scheduled, in accordance with the notification issued in 2023.
