Security Tightened as Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget Session Starts Tomorrow

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly budget session is set to commence on Monday. On the first day, Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer will address both houses of the legislature. Following his speech, the session will be adjourned to the next day. After this adjournment, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will meet to finalize the duration of the session and the agenda, including the topics to be discussed on specific days. The session is expected to last for two to three weeks.
Reports indicate that YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with party MLAs, will be attending the budget session.
In light of the assembly proceedings, officials have decided to strictly enforce regulations regarding entry and movement within the assembly premises. Special passes have been issued for ministers, MLAs, MLCs, media personnel, visitors, and police staff. Only individuals with valid passes will be permitted inside the assembly premises for security reasons. The passes are color-coded to designate access to specific areas within the Assembly and Legislative Council buildings.
As per the issued bulletin, only the Legislative Council Chairman, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Chief Minister, and Deputy Chief Minister will be allowed entry through Gate 1. Ministers will be permitted to use Gate 2, while MLAs and MLCs will enter through Gate 4. Additionally, no one except the designated officials will be allowed in the corridors used by the Chief Minister, Speaker, and Legislative Council Chairman. Personal assistants of ministers and members will only be allowed inside when deemed necessary.
Authorities have strictly prohibited the entry of weapons, batons, placards, whistles, or any similar items within the assembly premises. Members have been advised against bringing their personal assistants inside for security reasons. Furthermore, ministers and members have been instructed not to conduct press conferences in any location other than the designated media point inside the Assembly. The officials have also imposed a complete ban on protests, demonstrations, sit-ins, or any such gatherings in the legislative precincts.
