WhatsApp Governance Cells to Be Set Up in All District Collectorates: CM Chandrababu's Orders

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to establish dedicated 'ManaMitra' WhatsApp Governance Cells in all district collectorates to expand the use of WhatsApp for governance. He announced that the state government aims to provide 500 services through WhatsApp Governance in the coming days.
During a review meeting on Real-Time Governance at the Secretariat on Monday, the Chief Minister inquired about the progress of WhatsApp Governance implementation. He emphasized the need to raise public awareness about the initiative to ensure its widespread use. He instructed district collectors to play a key role in this initiative by setting up WhatsApp Governance Cells in their respective offices and overseeing its implementation at the district level.
Chandrababu Naidu stated that the government's primary objective is to make public services more accessible, and WhatsApp Governance will play a crucial role in achieving this goal. He directed officials to display QR codes in government offices, enabling citizens to easily access various government services via WhatsApp.
The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of improving the system for receiving and resolving public grievances through WhatsApp Governance. Additionally, he urged officials to facilitate digital payments, encouraging people to use WhatsApp for paying government-related bills. Recognizing the lack of awareness about WhatsApp Governance among many citizens, he advised officials to utilize mass media to educate the public.
Further, Chandrababu Naidu instructed that awareness programs on WhatsApp Governance be conducted at village and ward secretariats. He also suggested that every household should have an Artificial Intelligence expert to help citizens adapt to emerging digital governance technologies.
