Arvind Kejriwal Heading to Rajya Sabha? AAP Responds to Speculation

The Aam Aadmi Party has dismissed speculation that former Delhi Chief Minister and party chief Arvind Kejriwal may soon be nominated to the Rajya Sabha. Responding to the circulating rumors, AAP stated that the claims are entirely baseless and should be considered mere speculation.
The discussions gained traction after AAP nominated its current Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjeev Arora, as its candidate for the upcoming Punjab by-elections. The party has officially declared Sanjeev Arora as its candidate for the Ludhiana West Assembly by-election. Given Arora’s strong chances of winning, speculation arose that Kejriwal might replace him in the Rajya Sabha.
Jagatar Singh, the spokesperson for AAP’s Punjab unit, clarified that no discussions have taken place within the party regarding sending Kejriwal to the Rajya Sabha. He alleged that opposition parties are deliberately spreading these rumors.
Arvind Kejriwal recently faced a significant electoral setback when he lost to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in the Delhi Assembly elections.
