New RTC Helpline Helps Passengers Retrieve Forgotten Change and Items
Passengers on Telangana RTC buses often face difficulties when they don’t have the exact change for their tickets. In such cases, conductors usually note the pending amount on the back of the ticket, instructing passengers to collect it later. However, many commuters, in their rush to deboard, forget to claim their change and only realize it later when nothing can be done.

To address this issue, Telangana RTC officials have announced a new initiative to help passengers retrieve their forgotten change. If a passenger forgets to collect their change, they can contact the helpline number 040-69440000 and provide details of their ticket. After verification, the due amount will be transferred to them via PhonePe.

This helpline service is not limited to forgotten change. RTC officials stated that passengers can also use it to recover lost belongings, including valuables, bags, and mobile phones, that may have been left behind on the bus.

Additionally, in cases where long-distance buses stop mid-journey for meals or refreshments, and a passenger gets left behind, they can report the incident to the helpline. Officials will arrange for the passenger to continue their journey on another bus using the same ticket, while ensuring the safe return of their luggage from the original bus.
