AP Government Introduces New Pension Distribution Guidelines

The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced significant changes in the distribution process of pensions under the NTR Bharosa scheme. The distribution will now begin at 7:00 AM instead of the earlier schedule of 4:00 AM or 5:00 AM. The government stated that this adjustment aims to prevent inconvenience for both the village and ward secretariat staff as well as the beneficiaries.
To implement this change, the pension distribution mobile application has been modified to function only from 7:00 AM onwards. Additionally, if pensions are distributed more than 300 meters away from a beneficiary’s residence, the reason for doing so must be recorded immediately in the system.
Furthermore, a 20-second audio message conveying a government statement will be played through the application to inform beneficiaries. This message will automatically play as soon as the beneficiary’s details are recorded.
As part of a pilot phase, these new measures will first be implemented in Kurnool and Chittoor districts on March 1, coinciding with the MLC election code period. Following this trial, the revised pension distribution system will be expanded across the entire state.
