Coalition Government Committed to Implementing ‘Talliki Vandanam’: Nara Lokesh

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, announced that the coalition government would soon implement the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme and release its guidelines in the near future. Lokesh made this statement while responding to a question raised by members in the Legislative Council regarding the scheme. He further stated that a budget allocation of ₹9,407 crore has been made for the scheme in the 2025-26 financial year.
During the question-and-answer session in the Council, Lokesh addressed queries raised by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) members. He reiterated that the government was committed to implementing all six key welfare schemes, including ‘Talliki Vandanam.’
Responding to questions about unemployment benefits, Lokesh criticized the previous YSRCP government, alleging that it lacked sincerity in providing employment opportunities to job seekers. He claimed that during the YSRCP’s tenure, not a single District Selection Committee (DSC) notification for teacher recruitment was issued.
He recalled that under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government in the past had filled 1.82 lakh teacher posts. Lokesh assured that the current government would release the DSC notification without fail in March.
