Witness Deaths in YS Vivekananda Reddy Case Raise Concerns: YSR District SP

YSR District Superintendent of Police (SP) E.G. Ashok Kumar has stated that the consecutive deaths of key witnesses in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case are alarming. He added that the investigation is being conducted thoroughly to determine whether the accused had any role in these deaths.
Recently, Ranganna, a watchman and witness in the case, passed away. Before him, other key witnesses—Srinivasulu Reddy, Gangadhar Reddy, Abhishek Reddy, and Narayana—had also died. The SP revealed that five crucial witnesses have died over the past five years. Authorities are investigating the causes and circumstances of their deaths to determine if they had any pre-existing health issues or if there is a possible connection between these fatalities.
To ensure a comprehensive probe, a special investigation team led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has been formed. The SP also noted that whenever a witness dies, some individuals falsely claim that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is responsible. The police are also looking into why and who is spreading such misinformation.
Regarding Ranganna’s death, the SP stated that he passed away on Wednesday evening. His wife has filed a complaint, raising suspicions about his death. Following her complaint, a case has been registered, and an investigation is underway. The police are examining all cases related to deceased witnesses to ascertain the truth.
