Yadagirigutta Temple to Get Autonomous Trust Board Like TTD

The Telangana government has decided to establish a trust board for the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadagirigutta, modeled after the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The state cabinet has approved this decision, granting autonomous status to the temple while keeping it under the jurisdiction of the Telangana government.
A detailed note regarding the trust board’s structure, tenure, funding, service rules for appointments and transfers, and the rank of the Executive Officer (EO) was presented to the cabinet. The temple has been included under Chapter 14 of the Endowments Act, 1987, and an amendment to this effect is expected to be introduced in the state assembly.
The cabinet note specifies that an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer or an official of Additional Commissioner rank or higher will be appointed as the temple's Executive Officer. The trust board will comprise a chairman and ten members, including one founder trustee and nine members nominated by the government. Additionally, there will be ex-officio members.
