Singer Kalpana Approaches Telangana Women's Commission Over Social Media Misinformation

Singer Kalpana has approached the Telangana Women’s Commission, seeking action against false propaganda about her on social media. She stated that misinformation is being spread without verifying the facts and requested intervention to stop such posts.

Recently, Kalpana was hospitalized after consuming an excessive dose of sleeping pills, which led to an unconscious state. Following this incident, speculation arose on social media and certain YouTube channels, alleging that she had attempted suicide due to issues with her husband and daughter. In response to these reports, Kalpana sought the Women’s Commission’s help in taking action against those spreading misleading information about her health and personal life.

The chairperson of the Telangana Women’s Commission assured Kalpana that appropriate action would be taken against those responsible. The Commission emphasized its commitment to monitoring and addressing offensive posts targeting women and warned that strict measures would be enforced against those posting misleading or inappropriate content.
