Rail Accident Averted in Andhra Pradesh: Howrah Express Escapes Mishap
A major train accident was averted in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday when the Howrah Express narrowly escaped a mishap near Gudur Railway Junction in Tirupati district. The incident occurred near Adavayya Colony, where railway tracks had broken just as the train was approaching at high speed.

A local resident, Sunil, noticed the damaged tracks and acted swiftly. Using his presence of mind, he ran towards the train waving a red cloth to alert the driver. Spotting the warning, the Howrah Express loco pilot immediately applied brakes and brought the train to a halt, preventing a potential disaster.

Railway officials at Gudur Junction were informed, and maintenance personnel arrived at the site to carry out necessary repairs. Due to the incident, several trains on the route were delayed by approximately an hour.
