Champions Trophy Final: Team India Loses Toss

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final is set to take place today, with Team India and New Zealand facing off at the Dubai International Stadium. New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first in this highly anticipated clash.
Following the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma stated that the team was not concerned about the outcome of the toss. "We don’t think about batting first or bowling first; either way, it’s just a part of the game," he said. He also recalled that India had successfully chased targets in the past and emphasized that the team’s performance on the field mattered more than the toss result. "We had already decided in the dressing room that we wouldn’t be affected by the toss," he added.
Rohit Sharma acknowledged New Zealand’s strong performances in recent years, particularly in ICC tournaments, and noted that facing such a competitive team in the final would be a challenging contest. He confirmed that there were no changes in the Indian squad for this crucial match.
Meanwhile, New Zealand made one change to their playing XI, with Nathan Smith replacing pacer Matt Henry.
