Champions Trophy: Kuldeep, Chakravarthy Star as India Restricts New Zealand in Final

New Zealand's batsmen struggled against Team India's bowling attack in the ICC Champions Trophy final. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Kiwis were unable to post a formidable total as Indian bowlers maintained tight control.
New Zealand managed to score 251 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 50 overs. None of their batsmen could register a massive individual score. Daryl Mitchell was the top scorer with 63 runs, followed by Michael Bracewell, who remained unbeaten on 53. Rachin Ravindra contributed 37 runs, while Glenn Phillips scored 34. Other key players, including Will Young (15), Kane Williamson (11), Tom Latham (14), and captain Mitchell Santner (8), failed to make a significant impact.
Among India's bowlers, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy picked up two wickets each, while Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each. Though Team India's bowlers initially conceded runs, they later found their rhythm, taking wickets at regular intervals and applying pressure on New Zealand.
