Following this remarkable achievement, team captain Rohit Sharma made noteworthy comments, revealing that a "silent hero" played a crucial role in their success.

Rohit Sharma identified Shreyas Iyer as this "silent hero," highlighting his significant contributions in the middle order. "I am extremely proud of this team. Sometimes, circumstances may not favor us, but we adapted accordingly. If you look at all the matches we played in this tournament, the pitches were slow. In such conditions, Shreyas Iyer’s performance was outstanding. He played crucial innings throughout the tournament, and his partnerships with other batsmen were invaluable.
