FIR Filed Against BRS Leaders for Posting AI Videos Related to HCU
Gachibowli police have registered cases against several individuals, including leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), for allegedly posting artificial intelligence (AI)-generated videos and photos related to the lands of the University of Hyderabad (HCU) on social media.

According to police reports, cases have been registered against BRS leaders Konatham Dileep, Mannem Krishank, and Thomas Augustine. The complaints allege that AI-generated visuals were used to spread misinformation online.

Gachibowli police had previously registered seven separate cases concerning the circulation of such AI videos and photos. Members of the BRS social media and IT teams have also been named as accused in these cases, on allegations of creating and disseminating misleading AI content on social platforms.

In addition to BRS leaders, FIRs have been filed against approximately 150 individuals, including activists from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), and Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], who had reportedly staged protests at the HCU premises.

Sources further indicate that FIRs may also be registered against several prominent figures, including Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, former ministers K. T. Rama Rao, G. Jagadish Reddy, and public personalities such as Dhruv Rathee, Raveena Tandon, John Abraham, and Dia Mirza.
