BCCI’s Key Decision: Abhishek Nayar, Dilip Likely to Be Removed?

Team India’s crushing 1-3 defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy held in Australia has prompted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to take critical decisions regarding its coaching staff, according to reports.
National media reports suggest that the BCCI is preparing to remove Assistant Coach Abhishek Nayar from his role. Additionally, Dainik Jagran has reported that Fielding Coach T. Dilip and Trainer Soham Desai have already been relieved of their responsibilities.
With Sitanshu Kotak already serving as the Batting Coach, it is believed that the BCCI considers the role of Abhishek Nayar to be redundant. Based on these developments, the board is reportedly planning to part ways with Nayar, who had also assisted in batting coaching duties. However, as of now, the BCCI has not issued any official statement on these staff changes.
Eight months ago, when Gautam Gambhir assumed the position of Head Coach, Abhishek Nayar was appointed as the Assistant Coach. With both Abhishek Nayar and T. Dilip yet to be officially replaced, it is likely that Ryan ten Doeschate, who currently holds the role of Assistant Coach, may take on their responsibilities in the interim.
