IPL 2025: Hasaranga Picks 2 But Lucknow Posts 180/5 Against Rajasthan
In today’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match, Lucknow Super Giants faced off against Rajasthan Royals. Winning the toss, the Lucknow team chose to bat first. Opener Aiden Markram and Ayush Badoni scored half-centuries, while Abdul Samad delivered a whirlwind innings. As a result, the Lucknow Super Giants posted a total of 180 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Although fellow opener Mitchell Marsh was dismissed for just 4 runs, Aiden Markram played aggressively. The South African batter scored 66 runs off 45 balls, including five fours and three sixes. Young player Ayush Badoni made a solid contribution, scoring exactly 50 runs from 34 balls with five boundaries and one six, before being dismissed by Tushar Deshpande.

Towards the end of the innings, Abdul Samad remained unbeaten, scoring 30 runs off just 10 deliveries. His innings featured four massive sixes. Nicholas Pooran (11) and captain Rishabh Pant (3) failed to make an impact once again. Among Rajasthan Royals bowlers, Wanindu Hasaranga took two wickets, while Jofra Archer, Sandeep Sharma, and Tushar Deshpande each claimed one wicket.
