Chandrababu Helped Many Telugu Students in the U.S., Reveals Minister

Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State, revealed a compelling and little-known fact about Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Speaking on the occasion of Chandrababu Naidu’s birthday, Pemmasani stated that the Chief Minister had financially supported numerous Telugu students in the United States by paying their tuition fees.
He mentioned that Chandrababu Naidu extended financial assistance to many students pursuing higher education in the U.S., and that very few people are aware of this act of generosity. “Only one or two people know about this,” Pemmasani remarked, underlining the discreet nature of this support.
Praising Chandrababu Naidu, Pemmasani said, “He is not just a political leader; he is a guiding force who has shaped the future of countless students.” He added that whenever Chandrababu Naidu came to know of a student facing financial hardships while studying in the U.S., he would immediately step in to help. By ensuring timely payment of fees, he made sure that their education was not interrupted. Pemmasani described this as a reflection of Chandrababu Naidu’s service-oriented mindset and his deep care for students.
Pemmasani also referred to Chandrababu Naidu as a “Living Dictionary,” and said he had learned many valuable lessons from him. He noted that the inspiration he drew from Chandrababu Naidu proved especially helpful during his initial days of settling in the United States.
Highlighting Chandrababu Naidu’s visionary leadership, Pemmasani lauded initiatives such as the Amaravati capital project, the “Shramadanam” (voluntary labor) movement, and the “Janmabhoomi” (Motherland) programs as examples of his foresight and efforts to mobilize public consciousness.
He made special mention of Chandrababu Naidu’s long-term planning in the Outer Ring Road (ORR) project. Pemmasani recalled that although the Central Government had sanctioned a road width of 70 meters, Chandrababu Naidu insisted on expanding it to 140 meters, anticipating future needs. Pemmasani recounted that the Chief Minister even met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at 1 a.m. to persuade her to approve the broader plan. “Such foresight and determination deeply influenced me,” he said.
These remarks were made during a book launch event featuring Chandrababu Naidu’s speeches, held today at the Andhra Pradesh Assembly Hall to mark the Chief Minister’s birthday. Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar attended the event and made the above statements during his address.
